DA increase for Bank employees from February 2017 Updated on 30.12.2016
Today i.e on 30.12.2016, Ministry of Labour, has announced the CPI (IW) for the month of November 2016. So in effective we have two months data to project the DA for the months of February, March and April 2017 for all Bank Employees.
CPI(IW) for November 2016 has decreased by 1 point and stood at 277.
Now the consumer price index trend for the past six months is as follows
Month CPI(IW) June 277 July 280 August 278 September 277 October 278 November 277 December ?
We have analyzed the past data, based on our observations we expect further decrease in the index. This will effectively decrease the DA for Bank Employees.
Now as per our projections the index will come down and the following are the different scenarios that will emerge
Decrease in DA Slabs Index increases by 1 point (278) 3 Slabs Index remains same (277) 5 Slabs Index decreases by 1 point (276) 7 Slabs Index decreases by 1 point (275) 9 Slabs Index decreases by 1 point (274) 11 Slabs
We project a decrease of 7 to 9 slabs from February 2017 for bankers.
So at least wait for 30th January 2017 to know the actual increase from February 2017.
